Born in North Carolina and raised in the beautiful low country of South Carolina, Gracyn is the middle child in a family who taught her the incredible values of creativity, imagination and hard work. Now making a career in both DC and NYC, Gracyn is living her dream of making a living doing what she loves. Her deep interest for classical theatre brings her all over the country to states such as Minnesota, Idaho, Nevada, North Carolina, Illinois and many others.
Gracyn was always attracted to performing and by her sophomore year of high school she knew theatre was more than a hobby and left home for the two-year preprofessional training program at The South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. From there, she went on to receive her BFA in Acting from the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University. At SMU she also received a minor in 'Human Rights' and was fortunate enough to travel to Poland studying the violations of those rights and the atrocities that were committed during WWII. This has deeply influenced her acting and her passion for art that speaks to such things as accountability, blame, faith and forgiveness. |
